Bromsgrove, UK
It’s true: A whole year has flashed by since Casparcloud came to market, and it’s been a whirlwind 365 days. Already, over 25 local authorities have made the switch to CasparCloud, with many more in line.
Trojan’s decision to develop from on-premises solution, Caspar, to SaaS application, CasparCloud, was a strategic one. It is in alignment with the company’s mission to continuously enhance their solution offerings to ensure customers have the functionality that they need to best meet the challenging regulatory and accounting demands faced in their roles within Court of Protection teams.
The development saw that in September 2021, CasparCloud, the only fully cloud-based solution for managing the finances of deputyship and appointeeship clients in England and Wales, replaced Caspar, the original market-leading solution used by more than 85 Local authorities and Solicitors to administer over £1 billion worth of assets for a combined 45,000+ vulnerable clients across the UK.
They were some big shoes to fill, however, CasparCloud is already earning its fair share of plaudits…
Court of Protection Team Lead for Wiltshire Council, Cheryl Wood, comments,
“The CasparCloud system is much more user friendly (than Caspar.) The ability to look at duplicate tabs is helpful.”
She goes on to say,
“I like the speed of the system as a whole; in particular, running reports (especially longer ones) reconciliation and producing annual accounts has been beneficial for the team.”
This customer satisfaction factor has been a key focus for the Trojan team over the past 12 months, facilitated by developing the system in close collaboration with its client base and paving the way for strengthened working relationships between Trojan and its customers. This collaborative approach was emphasised recently in relation to the all-inclusive migration program – headed by Migration Project Director, Cathy Diver – in feedback from a Local Authority team lead:
“The way Trojan has initiated the new product go live with Local Authorities, with this level of time and support, was a very positive experience.”
Another new CasparCloud user also remarked,
“The hands-on nature of Trojan and speed of response to resolving issues definitely contributed to the project’s success. We are very happy.”
Not content to rest on their laurels, Trojan have constantly developed and improved the system throughout the past year. They have just launched the next version of the solution to the market, which sees advanced functionality such as:
- Improved user interface.
- Screen optimization.
- Client Budgets: A completely new budgeting feature for CasparCloud allowing users to set up budgets for clients.
There are also plans to build and develop the CasparCloud Roadmap, based on user feedback, which is being initiated at the upcoming customer event: the trojan user group during a workshop session with Product Manager, Geri Rawlins.
Further to this, Trojan have implemented several new working processes, for customers, to enhance efficiency. This includes the launch of an online educational hub, the Knowledge Base and a new interactive e-learning strategy to improve customer training.
All of this has supported a successful first year in the market for CasparCloud and fed into further praise for the cloud-based solution from Local Authorities across England and Wales:
“The filtering abilities in different parts of the system increase speed and efficiency in the way we carry out some roles.”
“Reporting is more versatile. In the longer term I think housekeeping will be easier on the system as we understand and utilise the reporting functions more.”
“Ultimately the system is a great improvement and is going to improve our way of working.”
